The PD65 is special for the stable platter mechanism that drastically reduces cd wobble during playback by supporting the entire CD on a platter (think vinyl) rather than just the inner surface of the CD. The tray slides out to reveal the stable platter. You put your cd in label side down and then do something unheard of in the modern age- you listen to just one CD while enjoying your favorite adult beverage.
