The NakamichiDragon CD System, produced by Niro Nakamichi and released in Japan in the mid 1990s during the Japanese "Golden Era" of high-fidelity audio equipment, is oneof the finest CD player systems ever made. Only 200 of these systems wereproduced (in Japan) , and the full set, containing the 7-CD Transport, powersupply unit, and DAC, is extremely rare, more so when found in excellentcondition, as is the case with these units. Experience provided by this set isunparalleled. Nakamichi went to extreme lengths to isolate the CD platter fromvibrations, and the DAC in this set is widely regarded as being of exceptionalquality. Exotic rosewood side panels offset against gloss-black metal faceplates.

Also included - instruction manuals and service manual, presentation brochure, original article describing the DRAGON set, and 2 original SANYO SF-91 Optical pickups/laser heads - one with the mechanism. The DRAGON Limited components are smaller insize than the standard 17 + components. It also was a continuation of the 1000Series (1991), as it was released in 95'. It further refined the 6+1 MusicBankand Acoustic Isolation Systems Nakamichi had developed for the 1000mb. The entire Nakamichi 1000 series is also for sale under a separate listing of mine.
