IN CASE YOU DO NOT KNOW THESE UNITS CONTAIN ONE OF THE BEST SOUNDING DAC PROCESSORS (MOST MUSICAL) EVER MADE AT ANY PRICE...... THIS INTERNAL DAC PROCESSOR IS STILL STATE OF THE ART TODAY! THESE UNITS HAVE AN INTERNAL VOLUME CONTROL THAT IS REMOTE CONTROLLED.

Cloned remote included which controls this unit perfectly. THESE UNITS SOUND LIKE HEAVEN!

Thus you must have an external CD Player / Transport or a computer with a 75 Ohm COAC SPDIF 44.1K and/or 48K digital out to use as a TRANSPORT / sound source. Although the internal drive does not work, you can use this remote controlled interval DAC processor... As the sweet heart of your state of the art stereo audio system. Please also note: if you own one of these CL-15's and it is broken I can probably fix it for you. Once I fix it it should be good for another 15 years.

Please note: If your drive is bad... This is something I usually can NOT fix.

This is one of those units, I could not fix, with a bad internal drive. But that should not stop you. The DAC in these units is simply wonderfully amazing.

Nothing on the market sounds better at any price. Here is a change to get this amazing sound at a reasonable price. With this unit you can BYPASS YOUR PREAMP! I can not say enough good things about the sound of these units. I love Infinity, Krell, Jeff Rowland, Yamaha, Marantz, Velodyne, and Wadia Equipment but I also have some other items that I routinely try to keep in stock as I find I have a need for many of these items from time to time. I have many other E-bay auctions running now, so I encourage you to please see many of my other great items. I know there are other individuals like me out there, as I have met many of them over the years. None are more serious than me.

I repair all types of speakers, although I do not do it for a living, I do it as a hobby. Many of the speakers I repair I do so because no one else out there is willing to repair them. I double box all items. I usually use FED EX GROUND in the USA and the US Postal Service for OVERSEAS.

California Audio Labs CL-15 HDCD Player / Audio Processor - (bad internal drive). This CD Player can interface with your computer and the software (which is rarely available) is included. The CD Player uses a state of the art 20 Bit Pacific Microsonics HDCD Processor. It will operate at both 44 KHz and 48 KHz. The unit contains a DIGITAL INPUT and REMOTE CONTROLLED INTERNAL PREAMP with VOLUME. You do not need a preamp to connect this unit up to your stereo. All you need is this CD Player / Processor, an amp and a set of speakers. This unit includes a state of the art internal remote controlled preamp. Description: Single-chassis CD player with full-function remote control and digital (S/PDIF) input. D/A conversion: dual 20-bit Burr-Brown PCM1702 DACs. Digital filter: Pacific Microsonics PMD-100 HDCD decoder/filter. Outputs: one pair variable-level single-ended (RCA) analog, one pair variable-level balanced (XLR) analog (optional). Frequency response: 5Hz-20kHz ±0.1dB. Analog output voltage: 0-3V RMS single-ended, 2-6V RMS balanced.

Analog output impedance: 50 ohms. Dimensions: 17" (430mm) W by 5" (130mm) H by 15.25 (390mm) D.

The preamp has a digital input so you can use the internal digital processor to decode your other sources. You can also get a SONY or YAMAHA Analog to Digital Converter from me (available in some of my other E-bay auctions) to connect up you other components without digital outputs. For instance you can take your current preamp and connect it to the SONY PCM 601ESD Analog to Digital Converter and then connect the converter to the Digital Input of this CD Player and use it as a digital preamp for your entire system. I also have several other DIGITAL SWITCHING UNITS available (just contact me for details) and with these unit and this CD Player / Processor you can develop a complete state of the art DIGITAL PREAMP with MULTIPLE INPUTS to control your entire system. This unit can truly be the heart of a current state of the art system. This is truly one of the best made and best sounding CD Player Processor ever made.
